Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)Job Specialty: Pediatric StepdownJob Duration: 13 weeksShift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts), Every other weekend and holiday requiredGuaranteed Hours: Not specifiedExperience: Minimum of 3 years preferredLicense: Must have a valid RN licenseCertifications: - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)- Basic Life Support (BLS)- Fingerprints requiredMust-Have:- Telemetry experience- Trach/Vent experience- Cerner charting experience preferredJob Description:- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in a stepdown unit.- Float to other pediatric units as needed and may provide 1:1 patient care.- The unit primarily cares for surgical service lines but also handles medicine overflow cases.- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity and quality of care.- Maintain patient records and ensure all procedures and treatments are documented accurately.- Demonstrate the ability to handle high-stress environments and adapt to changes quickly.- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
