The Systems Administrator is highly knowledgeable within designated Industrial Control System (ICS) Information Technology (IT) area of responsibility and applies that knowledge toward broad and diverse assignments. This role will install, maintain, audit, and support a stand-alone Microsoft Windows network environment using a VMware backend infrastructure. Analyze and test new software and software version upgrades in test environments before deploying to production. Administer SCAP scans and provide results/reports during weekly vulnerability meetings. Implement and verify cybersecurity compliance using automated tools to ensure benchmarks are met and manage virtual workstations and servers using VMWare. The Systems Administrator analyzes, evaluates, and proposes recommendations on innovative solutions. This role will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of ICS IT systems.
Installing, configuring, securing, managing, and monitoring VMware vSphere ESXi clusters in multiple data centers
Ensure the stable operation of the standalone computer network, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links with the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) application system, Wunderlich, Lutron, and Cimplicity software applications within the ICS network.
Analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required
Manage all network hardware and equipment; security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems and hardware and software upgrades
Contribute to the development and deployment of program information security for assigned systems to meet the program and enterprise requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures
Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, product development and product maintenance for assigned system
Facilitate development of security policies and support Continuous Monitoring (CONMON)
Manage all personal computer (PC) recapitalization efforts to include coordinating with various internal and external service providers; communicate activities and financial impacts; ensure accurate and auditable information is available by maintaining asset database and performing inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets to include software licensing

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications
Accredited degree or global equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
May require Certified Network Engineer (CNE or CNE/NT) or Certified Network Administrator (CNA) credentials or other applicable certifications
Information Technology (IT ) related experience in one or more of the following areas: data communications engineering, data and/or voice communications, hardware or software analysis, network administration, or management or data and/or voice communications equipment installation and maintenance
Effectively adapts to rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Demonstrated strong technical and non-technical communication and presentation skills in both oral and written formats

Security + certification
Install/configure Windows operating systems and software applications to include Active Directory, Group Policy, and Audit Logging.
Experience administering and configuring VMWare 7 for virtualization
Experience troubleshooting complex issues related to hardware/OS/application.
Windows SCCM
Experience working collaboratively with Network Engineers, System software developers, and administrators.
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting patching issues.
Experience with Windows Desktop OS as well as Windows Server.
Managing and creating policies in an Active Directory/Group Policy.
Hardening Windows systems and patching remediating as required in a timely manner.
