Lease Accountant

The Lease Accountant will handle all aspects of lease accounting within our Fixed Asset - Global Manufacturing group. An ideal candidate in this role will be someone highly organized, with an ability to manage multiple projects within set deadlines, and to meet month-end close deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review lease agreements to evaluate the accounting impact under ASC 842
• Responsible for monthly/quarterly close procedures, such as preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
• Review lease PO to ensure proper account coding and compliance with lease policy
• Prepare audit support for external and internal audits
• Works closely with internal and cross functional teams (i.e. Lease admin team, operation teams, FP&A and others)
• Assist in accounting - related system implementations
• Assist in the preparation of ASC 842 disclosure footnotes and schedules for financial reporting purposes

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in industry accounting and/or in public accounting (lease accounting experience strongly preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree in fAccounting, or equivalent experience
• Must have solid written and verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively with others
• Experience and strong understanding of internal control
• Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and continuously evolving to meet changing business needs
• Quick learner and problem solver when faced with new issues or challenges
• Team player with positive attitude and open mindset

Expected Compensation$64,000 - $114,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
