Description
We have an immediate need for a highly qualified individual who can successfully support supplier onboarding activities and integration test events for the new Commercial Analytic Services (CAS) acquired by NGA. The scope will include coordination between new CAS suppliers and NGA offices to facilitate delivery into NGA's cloud operations architecture, data integration into Geospatial Information System (GIS) databases, and overseeing events to verify that NGA can successfully order, accept, ingest, store and expose CAS.
The ideal candidate will work alongside Source Commercial Technical Executive (SC/TX), NGA and NSG mission owners, the Source Gateway team, NSG EO Ground (NEOG) program office, and the integrated program offices for Collection (IPC), Analysis (IPA) and Data (IPD). The ideal candidate must understand modern geospatial web services concepts; cloud storage and services; Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) procedures and scripting techniques; GIS data storage and services; and GEOINT tasking and analytic operations.

Other Technical GEOINT Analyst Duties:
- Building scripts to conduct ETL functions for analytic services delivered to NGA
- Support integration test events for CAS acquisitions and provide recommendations to the government about the operational readiness of CAS
- Coordinate with SC and Analysis teams to support data quality assessment actives
- Develop input to and advise on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Concepts of Operation (CONOPS) for ordering, ingesting, and accessing CAS
- Provide technical program development and execution recommendations
- Work with mission partners to improve Sources and contribute to the speed of the mission
- Must currently hold a TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Systems or related with 7-9 years of relevant work experience OR MS degree with 5-7 years of experience
- Hands-on technical expertise with geospatial web services, GIS database management, and the development/maintenance of OGC-compliant GIS services
- Hands-on experience writing scripts and developing automation techniques for geoprocessing, data management, and data science for web-based geospatial applications
- Basic understanding of cloud operations workflows under Amazon Web Services and/or Azure
- Experience conducting mission utility assessments with geospatial data, and/or conducting verification and validation on the quality, accuracy, and precision of geospatial content
- Expertise in working with operational customers, and translating their needs into requirements
- Experience working with multiple data sources to analyze and compile potential outputs based on customer requirements
- Ability to work as part of an integrated team (cross-organizational; cross-agency) and to contribute to small project teams from the initial concept stage to the measurable achievement of final results
- Familiarity with Source operations, including commercial imagery and analytic service market conditions
- Familiarity with GEOINT tasking and ordering procedures
- Familiarity with GEOINT analytic tradecraft and operations, including imagery analysis, Full-Spectrum GEOINT exploitation, and Geospatial Analysis
- Familiarity with contemporary computer vision techniques and research
