The Challenge
We are looking for a talented and seasoned enterprise data professional to product manage our self-service data products (data integration, governance, quality and transformation) for internal usage across Adobe. You will drive the mission to define, plan and deliver products that scale to Adobe's increasing demand for data everywhere. You'll partner with closely partner with the Adobe data practitioner ecosystem, as well as our enterprise data platforms and engineering teams to bring self-service strategy, use cases and feature requirements together. You will also build expertise with the Adobe Experience Platform to further extending our customer zero role. You will have an expertise in defining market problems of a data ecosystem, data user personas, and strategic managing and planning of a feature backlog and product roadmap. Your hands-on approach is critical as you work closely with engineering, data science, sales, marketing, and customer experiences teams to understand data needs, and turn that knowledge into innovative and easy-to-use data products and features. You will pro-actively engage business, build relationships, understand needs and drive solutions to problems. Your thought leadership and story-telling will provide a path forward for many teams across the business. This is not an "order taker" position.
What you'll do
Lead the strategy and vision for self-service to enterprise data through stakeholder and user market analysis
Communicate the details of market problems, pervasiveness and importance to leadership
Define and prioritize product requirements for capabilities, features and enhancements
Review customer feedback, prioritize it, and transform it into clearly defined product requirements
Guide user experience design planning and delivery with the Engineering and UX team. Be the customer advocate for solution designs
Work closely with program management, developers and QE resources to ensure releases meet -- and exceed -- customer expectations
Coordinate with other product managers and engineers across organizations to deliver data solutions and functionality
Work closely with other teams to create materials including user personas, problem context, communication and adoption
Interact regularly with business communicating the project portfolio, technology roadmap, and planning on future business objectives.
Understand capability of applications and their generated transaction and event data (SAP, Adobe's marketing tools, Hadoop/Kafka streams) in environment and effectively contrast against new emerging capabilities to inform business partners on those that require further development work.
What you need to succeed
Requires bachelor's degree. Preferred candidates will have a major in computer science, MBA from reputable institution or equivalent experience.
8+ years of enterprise data management experience (Must)
3+ years of product management experience with strong understanding of how data products solve for analytical and operational use cases.
You bring a track record for clearly articulating real business problems, and can quickly build deep understanding of analytic and operational data needs and user personas for engagement marketing, sales, data science, and customer experience teams.
Knowledgeable about the subscription business model, engagement and product usage metrics, and data requirements that drive personalized messaging and experiences (e.g. profile-based customer segmentation and A/B testing methodologies)
Great interpersonal communication. You'll be interacting with everyone from senior leadership to program management, engineering, and client teams, and providing briefings and roadmap updates to influence stakeholder buy-in.
Great Presentation skills. You'll be sharing the product roadmap and strategy in front of large internal and external audiences; sometimes with little notice
Skilled in collecting, prioritizing, and responding to input from multiple sources (customers, testers, engineering, competitive products, management, etc.)
Strong understanding of big data platforms (Hadoop, Redshift, etc.) and ETL processes, and familiarity with SQL
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment and to build and manage cross functional relationships.
