The University seeks aninnovative and visionary leader with the desire and ability to lead thedepartment into the future, to catalyze innovations in teaching and curriculaat both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to promote growth of sponsoredresearch and graduate education. The candidate will work collaboratively withinternal and external constituencies to develop new partnerships andprofessional relationships.
The successful candidate musthave a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, evidence of leadership and strongacademic skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a recordof excellent professional and scholarly achievements commensurate withappointment as a tenured professor. Candidateshaving expertise in any area of Mechanical Engineering are encouraged to apply. A strong record of research and the abilityto mentor and guide the funded research efforts of the department is desired.
