Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an Engineer with 5-10+ years of experience to join our Tampa, Florida office with experience in the planning and design of water, wastewater, and storm water conveyance systems. The desired candidate should have experience in:
Task responsibilities include project management, preparation of assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, hydraulic analyses, preparation of construction documents, and support of construction management/commissioning needs. Field work and site visits from planning through construction may be required.
This position requires experience with project management or the desire to grow into a project management role. The position may lead to an increasing level of client development and management commensurate with experience, supported by our local office and firm-wide technical resources.
The minimum professional qualifications are a B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, and the ability to obtain a P.E. license in Florida within six months of employment. MS degree a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Planning, design, construction and rehabilitation for a range of pipeline sizes and types
- Trenchless technologies
- Pipeline condition assessment and prioritization
- Sewer system evaluation surveys; inflow/infiltration studies
- Proficiency in the use of hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software such as InfoWorks and SWMM-based software
