We are looking for a Construction Managment champion. Someone with the interpersonal and technical skills to oversee projects valued at over $100 Million. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil or mechanical engineering and posses a CCM or PMP. We pride ourselves on delivering all of our projects ON TIME and UNDERBUDGET. Renovation of interior and exterior Administrative and HVAC Buildings. Remediation of subsurface areas with known or suspected environmental impacts.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Acts as Owner's Agent for assigned contracts.
- Coordinates contract activity with the office and field engineers, specifically insuring compliance of all materials, equipment, and construction to contract plans and specifications.
- Interprets engineering drawings for field personnel as required.
- Assures development of complete inspection records for job history including as-built conditions.
- Initiates requests for exploratory drilling, material testing and survey services, etc.
- May prepare cost estimates related to change orders.
- Prepares construction progress reports and evaluation reports on field engineering and inspection personnel for submission to the Construction Manager.
- Assists in negotiations of all contract change orders and claims pertaining to assigned contracts.
- Verifies contractor's progress pay applications as required
- Responsible for ascertaining that every effort is made by the contractor to complete the contract on schedule.
- Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of the contractor's adherence to all Federal, State, and local statues pertaining to Labor, Safety, and Equal Employment Opportunity.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Renovation of interior and exterior Administrative and HVAC Buildings. Remediation of subsurface areas with known or suspected environmental impacts.
Other desired skills and experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the construction and administration of transit facility/renovation projects.
- Five years of supervisory experience.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia (desired).
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of contract development and administration principles to include, design review, and contract testing.
- Well-developed analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
- Ability to effectively present information to clients and/or agency staff.
- Ability to read and comprehend written materials such as: construction plans, specifications, safety cautions/warnings, maps, operating instructions and procedures;
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, MS Access, Primavera Contract Manager (P6), along with scanning and imaging applications.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and design specifications.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Experience in the inspection and testing of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic equipment
