Senior Category Leader - Capex/MRO

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Category Leader - Capex/MRO to join our team. As a Senior Category Leader, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, purchasing, and inventory management. You will be a key leader in driving sustainable growth and profitability of our organization by managing the end-to-end supply chain process.
Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing, purchasing and inventory management strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
• Lead the negotiation of contracts with suppliers and ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
• Lead and mentor a team of category buyers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities, vendors, and pricing.
• Support the development of supplier scorecard metrics and performance tracking.
• Analyze data and create reports to monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Identify, recommend and implement cost savings initiatives.
• Analyze and review financial and delivery performance of suppliers.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and proper stock rotation.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations related to purchasing and inventory management.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost and delivery of products.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing systems, processes, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of buyers.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
