Description du poste

Sur la base d'un projet spcifique, ce poste sera plac sous la responsabilit d'un chef de projet dsign. Des relations de travail seront tablies avec tous les secteurs de l'entreprise qui utilisent des talents internes sur la base d'un projet.

• Prparer les tudes des cots, les calculs des quantits, l'analyse des prix, la comparaison des donnes et les communiquer au suprieur;
• Obtenir des informations de prix prcises et jour pour les bases de donnes, les entrepreneurs, les fournisseurs, etc. afin de dterminer les estimations de cots;
• Prparer des estimations de cots dtailles et analyser divers documents;
• Collaborer avec les contrleurs de cots et les planificateurs de projets;
• Dterminer la faisabilit et les cots-bnfice, les analyser afin de produire une fiche de synthse ;
• Identifier les risques afin de les assimiler, les analyser et les matriser ;
• Vrifier les heures de travail et les cots, les comparer au budget d'tude des estimations et reporter toutes divergences ;
• Vrifier les factures des fournisseurs et des entrepreneurs et vrifier les documents pour assurer une concordance ;
• Exercer un jugement dans la slection, la classification, la compilation et l'analyse de donnes obtenues de plusieurs sources.
• Dterminer les procdures de travail et suggrer des amliorations.

• Prepare cost studies, quantity calculations, price analysis, data comparison and communication to the supervisor;
• Obtain accurate and up-to-date pricing information for databases, contractors, suppliers, etc. to determine cost estimates;
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and analyze other documents;
• Work alongside cost controllers and project planners;
• Determine the feasibility and cost benefits, analyze them to produce a summary sheet;
• Identify risks in order to assimilate, analyze and control them;
• Check hours and costs, compare them to budget, review estimates and report any discrepancies;
• Check documents to ensure that vendors' and contractors' invoices are matched and verified;
• Exercise independent judgment in the selection, classification, compilation and analysis of data obtained from a variety of sources;
• Determine the selection of work procedures and makes recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

• Baccalaurat en Gnie ou en Construction (toute autre combinaison d'tude et d'exprience sera considre) ;
• 7 ans d'exprience pertinente en tant qu'Estimateur ;
• Exprience de travail dans l'industrie lourde (exprience des ptes et papiers (un atout));
• Exprience de travail sur les chantiers de construction industriels;
• Membre en rgle (ou ligible) de l'AACE (un atout);
• Capacit lire et interprter des documents (contrle des cots) pour extraire des informations importantes ;
• Connaissance des outils statistiques, des mthodes mathmatiques et de l'estimation des cots ;
• Doit avoir une approche claire et analytique de la rsolution de problmes et de solides comptences en prise de dcision.
• Franais et anglais (parl et crit).

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction (any other combination of diplomas and experience will be considered);
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as an Estimator;
• Experience working in heavy industry (Pulp and paper experience (an asset));
• Strong experience working on industrial construction sites;
• Member in good standing (or eligible) of AACE (an asset);
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel;
• Ability to read and interpret documents (cost control) to extract important information;
• Knowledge of statistical tools, mathematical methods and cost estimation;
• Bilingual French and English (spoken and written);
• Must have a clear and analytical approach to problem solving and strong decision-making skills.
