FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-Time

SCHEDULE: M-T, 9 hours (in-office)/F, 4 hours (remote)

FLSA STATUS: Salaried - Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for leading the technical evaluation of all assets by providing high quality geoscience evaluation of corporate acquisition or new ventures projects and support. Be a liaison with exploration group to ensure a smooth transition of the projects to the development stage.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create subsurface geologic structure and isopach maps using well control and engineering data.
• Provide insight on the multi-disciplinary approach to Exploration and Production.
• Create subsurface geophysical structure, amplitude and isopach maps using 2D and 3D seismic data.
• Provide final structure, amplitude and isopach maps integrating subsurface geologic, engineering, and seismic data.
• Work with multi-functional team responsible for planning and executing work activities on operated and non-operated properties.
• Participate in detailed field studies to assess remaining development and exploration potential in existing fields.
• Evaluation of the exploration, development, and work over potential on selected projects.
• Provide support for developing drilling budgets.
• Work closely with A & D to support all efforts.
• Mentor and advise geologists on geophysical technologies and attributes that may assist with exploration projects.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Exploration Team.

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Geophysics, Geosciences or a related discipline is required. Master's Degree considered a strong plus.
• 10 years minimum experience in the Gulf of Mexico.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to interact in a positive manner with others.

• Exceptional skills in geology or geoscience, including structural and stratigraphic interpretation and prospect generation.
• Must be proficient in mapping applications on 3D interpretation system.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• May require local and national travel
