JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of a Telemetry Registered Nurse involves various tasks, such as observing and analyzing EKG readings and promptly notifying doctors of any changes. They are responsible for documenting patients' vital signs, such as oxygen levels, blood pressure, breathing patterns, and keeping track of their progress. Additionally, telemetry RNs update patients' medical records as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of a Telemetry Registered Nurse involves various tasks, such as observing and analyzing EKG readings and promptly notifying doctors of any changes. They are responsible for documenting patients' vital signs, such as oxygen levels, blood pressure, breathing patterns, and keeping track of their progress. Additionally, telemetry RNs update patients' medical records as required.
DUTIES
- Monitors EKG output and keeps doctors informed of any changes.
- Recording vital signs, including oxygen levels, blood pressure, breathing patterns, etc.
- Monitoring patient progress and updating patient medical records as needed.
- Responds to patients experiencing cardiac pain.
- Performs various diagnostic tests.
- Managing and administering medication.
- Monitoring and using the electrocardiogram, EKG, or ECG.
- Educating patients on cardiac health.
- Communicating with the patient's family.
- Administering tests, analyzing lab results, then reporting to the physician.
- Managing patient care and giving them care instructions before they go home.
- And other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) certification
- A valid nursing certificate, BSN, or MSN degree from an accredited college or university.
- A valid unencumbered RN license for this State.
- A valid unencumbered MA license for this State.
- Current vaccinations and health clearance certification.
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
- ACLS certification.
- Must have previous experience with starting IVs.
- Must have at least 1-10 years of recent and relevant consecutive acute care experience in a hospital setting in this specialty.
- High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients during stressful experiences.
- Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills
- The appropriate license to work in their state/county.
- Fluent in English.
WORK LOCATION
- Framingham Massachusetts Area
- Natick Massachusetts Area
HOURS OF OPERATION
- Hours: Full-Time Days
- Shifts that are available: 3 days of 12-hour shifts or 4 days of 8-hour shifts
- Overtime Eligible as needed.
COMPENSATION
- 62,000-106,000 USD Annually
