DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
  • Assesses, diagnoses, and provides care to general OB/GYN patients
  • Obtains detailed medical history, reviews medical records and performs appropriate physical examination
  • Orders appropriate lab work and diagnostic imaging
  • Performs basic GYN procedures
  • Responds to phone messages from patients and nurse triage
  • Interprets and communicates lab results
  • Partners with patients to provide individualized and appropriate care plans
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary care team
  • Carefully completes all required documentation in a timely fashion


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years experience working as a WHNP in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Minnesota RN and women's health nurse practitioner licensures and CPR certification.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.
  • Strong charting/documentation skills.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
