We're looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with structural, thermal, and mechatronic design experience. If you're the kind of person who thrives on engineering cutting-edge solutions to complex technical challenges, then we want to talk with you!
As a High-Voltage Charging & Distribution Mechanical Engineer you will develop state-of-the-art electric vehicle charging systems, investigate electro-mechanical challenges, and implement innovative solutions. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude, demonstrates excellence in their respective fields, and possesses the ability to adapt quickly within a fast-paced environment. Role
  • Take ownership of components for next-generation Lucid charging products, such as high voltage harness design, chargeport design, HV connector design, and related components, completing every aspect of design engineering from concept to production
  • Exhibit a flair for creative problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate technical excellence and apply engineering first-principles to new and existing applications
  • Integrate mechanical designs with high-voltage electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Optimize designs for size, weight, durability, and cost
  • Create 3D CAD models and 2D GD&T controlled drawings of complex parts and assemblies


Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Proficient with CATIA or similar CAD software (3DX experience highly beneficial but not required)
  • Experience with FEA using Ansys or similar software
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, die casting, etc
  • Knowledge of material selection for prototyping and production
  • Experience with root cause corrective action processes
  • Well-developed team-work and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional environment


Preferred
  • Experience with automotive engineering
  • Experience with power electronics


Education
  • BS and/or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline


Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$110,600-$152,020 USD
