Highlights:
- Provide leadership to a strong clinical team of pediatric nephrologists, nurses, and support staff.
- Demonstrate a strong and proven commitment to excellence in the delivery of care, research, education, and advocacy.
- Participate in clinical, educational, research, and operational functions within the division.
- Perform a variety of procedures in the practice setting, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and plasmapheresis.
- Physicians are expected to provide day (inpatient) and night call coverage for 7 days a week.
- Inpatient and night call coverage are typically bundled and conducted during the same week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the pediatric nephrology division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to pediatric patients with renal disorders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases.
- Conduct research and contribute to scholarly activities in the field of pediatric nephrology, including participation in clinical trials and outcomes research.
- Develop and implement educational programs for medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals to promote excellence in pediatric nephrology care.
- Advocate for pediatric patients with renal disorders and their families, both within the institution and in the broader community.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices in pediatric nephrology care.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the division.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in Pediatric Nephrology required.
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of pediatric nephrology fellowship training program.
- Strong clinical skills and expertise in pediatric nephrology.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to inspire and motivate a clinical team.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to excellence in patient care, education, research, and advocacy.
