Project Manager - Vehicle Integration
Location: Auburn Hills, MI.
Duration: 6-12 months+

If you are interested in joining a team of experienced engineers in powertrain and vehicle development to address future mobility challenges, this is where you want to be.

As a project manager, you will lead and manage projects to specified timeline and budget while maintaining customer satisfaction. Projects will range from coordination of validation fleets, execution of DVPs, sub-project management of large vehicle development programs, benchmarking vehicle attributes, and test-based attribute development and validation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Development of customer proposals for vehicle integration projects including fleet validation with the potential of thermal systems, vehicle dynamics, energy management, NVH, and safety.
  • Primary interface with customers or key stake holders for projects
  • Maintain project timeline and budget
  • Coordination of internal resources through business unit manager
  • Coordination of external resources through integration with 3 rd party suppliers
  • Responsible for tracking and fulfilling deliverables for customer programs

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in comparable job function
  • Test scheduling and/or fleet coordination (5-50 vehicles)
  • Experience with execution of vehicle DVP
  • Understanding of conventional powertrains (engines, transmissions) and vehicle systems; ADAS experience a plus
  • Proficient with MS office tools (e.g. MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel)
  • Valid driver's license issued from any state with in the US
Desired Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Homologation processes and specification in US, EU, and Asian markets
  • Understanding of vehicle importation processes
  • Experience with automobile repair
  • Understanding of and experience with electric/hybrid architectures
  • Past exposure to data acquisition systems and transducers (Dewesoft, HBK, ATI Vision, Siemens Test.Lab, etc.)
  • Past exposure to vehicle CAN systems, including relevant software and hardware (CANalyzer, CANoe, INCA)
  • Programming experience (e.g. Visual Basic, MATLAB, LabVIEW) About FEV
  • The desire to be part of a team-oriented atmosphere, and work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
