SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) markets and sells CAREL's innovative and energy efficient solutions for humidification and evaporative cooling through our manufacturers' representative network. The RSM will keep up to date on the current humidification market trends and develop marketing strategy to help propel CAREL's continued growth in the industry. The successful candidate is an exceptional communicator, able to build rapport with various key stakeholders and various departments both internally and externally. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the HVAC industry with experience involving humidification systems and applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Showing, promoting, and selling CAREL's products, services, and solutions to key stakeholders in other organizations. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Manage a network of manufacturers' representatives, establishing effective goals and holding them accountable for reaching sales quotas.
  • Educate the Territory on the importance of Humidification and understanding the different technologies available and what are the advantages of each.
  • Sales presentations and consultation meetings with Engineers to help build business relationships and promote CAREL solutions to be specified regularly.
  • Engage with Contractors to build strong business relationships and create repeat business in the market.
  • Work along with Facilities Managers / End users to understand needs and challenges and position CAREL as a positive solution.
  • Lead generation activities through Regional and Local trade shows to support growth in sales and create CAREL brand awareness in the Region.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within organizations
  • Review and assess customer provided documentation, sequence of operations and specifications to develop value added proposals and quotes
  • Provide technical and/or commercial product training to customers.
  • Provide sales/technical support to customers
  • Prepare visit reports and input into database
  • Gather information to determine market characteristics, perform market-share analysis and sales analysis
  • Assist in analysis of present and potential markets for new or existing products or services.
  • Assist in planning marketing strategies and objectives
  • Support with various marketing activities including direct mail, letters, catalogs, and trade shows.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed or assigned
  • Travel is up to 75% of the time


QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the candidate must demonstrate outstanding communication skills (both oral and written), and be capable of planning targeted sales calls in an organized and effective manner. Candidates should illustrate a technical aptitude and working knowledge of psychrometrics.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The candidate must possess a 4 year technical degree or adequate Business Development / Territory Manager experience in related industries and with an engineered products highlight. Computer literacy and competencies in all of the following Microsoft products are required: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher, and Outlook.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally be required to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to perform this job in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
