#TeamBergmann is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Science, Technology, and Industrial Practice!
What You'll Be Doing: The Plumbing, Piping, & Fire Prevention Project Engineer will be involved with project budgets, cost estimating and helping grow the business through sales presentations and proposal development. This individual will be working directly with other ST & I Team members (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Architects) to complete projects.
Who We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the science, technology, and/or industrial field doing mechanical design, including the piping and plumbing design associated with the pharmaceutical, cGMP, and clean room type projects. PE License is preferred but not required!

What You'll Need to be Successful:
- Minimum 8 years of related experience
- PE license or EIT with less than 3 years until PE exam
- Solid Revit skills
- Proficiency or willingness to learn process & mechanical design (manufacturing processes, material balances, P&IDs, PFDs, equipment arrangements, equipment specifications
- Proficiency with spreadsheet-based design tools
- Hands-on project coordination experience
- Ability to travel to visit clients for projects and in-plant work duties (including overnight travel inside the US and international locations)
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Ability to visit various sites and safely maneuver amongst manufacturing equipment
Our Plumbing, Piping, and Fire Prevention Engineers also:
- Solve diverse and open-ended design problems facing industrial clients
- Design process and manufacturing facilities
- Identify, select, and recommend process equipment solutions for clients
- Prepare material balances, flowsheets, and design calculations
- Support the preparation of RFQs, bid evaluations and coordination with vendors
- Possess an understanding of process instrumentation and controls
- Prepare cost estimates
- Review "shop" drawings
- Understand and create full set construction documentation
- Coordinate and collaborate with other design professionals of the project team
- Develop probable construction cost estimates
- May be required to perform field inspections, research, measurements, or calculations
- Attend client meetings
- May serve as on-site project representative
- Surveying onsite work at client facilities
- Research STI related functions and technologies to build credible expertise specific to pharmaceuticals, biotech, cell and gene therapies plus other specialized STI markets
- Will direct the work of drafters or designers
