Data Quality and Reporting Automation Lead VP / Director
Job Overview:
Data Quality (DQ) and Reporting Automation (RA) Lead is a senior leadership role who will have a dual responsibility; 1) lead the DQ campaign across all LoBs of the bank to enhance data quality, 2) spearhead the automation of the regulatory, risk and management reporting for the bank. Additionally this role will assist the CDO (Chief Data Officer), as needed, with other projects to operationalize the data governance policy across the bank. He/She will liaise directly and independently with various functions in the organization to support and manage multiple projects to enhance data management, including the execution of the three year data governance roadmap.
Job Responsibilities:Design the strategy and construct for a bank-wide DQ campaign; vision-mission, objective, stakeholder and leadership buy-in, timeline, roadmap, resource requirement etc. Lead the roadshows for DQ campaign to obtain stakeholder buy-in and commitment Develop detailed roadmap, project charter, project plan etc. for execution of the campaign Develop measurable quantitative metrics to show progress and strategy for course-correction, if needed Manage status reporting, executive level communication and other internal/external communication (e.g., Internal audit, regulators) to demonstrate the efficacy of the DQ campaign Develop a strategy and plan to effectively execute the Reporting Automation project. Work with CDO and business stakeholders to prioritize reports for automation Lead a team to engage business stakeholders, using workshops/interviews etc., to elicit reporting requirements and develop BRDs and assist in FSD development Liaise with Branch and Head Office (IT) to deliver automation of the regulatory report within the program timeline Manage the Report automation initiative end-to-end, requirements through deployment, lead status reporting, executive level (CDO,COO) communication Assist the CDO and other leads in DMO with data governance projects/initiatives, as needed
Experience and Skills required:10-12 years of experience in finance industry with strong background in data requirements, data management capabilities, regulatory and risk reporting Deep understanding and prior experience in executing data acquisition, business intelligence and data quality initiatives Pragmatic project management experience in executing medium to large scale projects; data acquisition, data quality, report automation Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Word Should be comfortable in managing, coaching and training resources Should have strong inter-personal and communication skills, and have experience in working with senior management Must be a self-starter, a leader in his/her domain and ability to handle time sensitive projects
Education Requirements:Bachelor/Master degree in finance or related field Advanced degree in data management, reporting, analytics etc. is a plus
