JOB TITLE: Manager, Medical Staff Office
REPORTS TO: CNO
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the oversight and leadership of the Medical Staff Administration activities and functions of Victor Valley Global Medical Center (VVGMC). Participates in establishing and achieving the VVGMC strategic objectives as they pertain to the Medical Staff. Provides functional expertise essential to support department managers and personnel. Oversees budget for Medical Staff Administration department. Directs standards of practice and process improvement activities. Oversees credentialing, bylaws and rules and regulations development, medical staff leadership and educational activities. Develops, directs and supports all Medical Staff policy and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field preferred. Five or more years of experience in hospital credentialing preferred. One year supervisory experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CPCS (Certified Professional Medical Services Certificate) required within 18 months of hire. Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred.
