We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Registered Occupational Therapist who will also serve as a Team Lead within our organization. The ideal candidate will not only align with our purpose and core values but also possess strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of clinicians.
Clinical Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of occupational therapists and clinical counsellors fostering professional development and clinical excellence
Active Rehabilitation: Provide dynamic and functional rehabilitation to clients with diverse injuries and conditions, including those with significant neurological deficits.
Collaborative Approach: Communicate effectively and collaborate with members of the healthcare team and referral sources.
Specialty Program Involvement: Conduct assessments, consultations and treatment for specialized programs such as the WSBC Early Concussion Assessment and Treatment Program overseeing team involvement and ensuring program efficacy.
Documentation Oversight: Ensure the maintenance of accurate electronic clinical records using Jane software, providing guidance and support to team members in documentation practices
Caseload Management: Assist in the management of caseloads, providing support and guidance to team members as needed, while ensuring efficient and effective client care
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the clinic's multi-disciplinary team, facilitating collaboration and information sharing to optimize client outcomes
Integration of Cutting-edge Technologies: Stay abreast of advanced technologies and treatment modalities, guiding team members in their utilization to enhance client care and outcomes
Input into Program Design and Development: Provide valuable input into the design and development of programs, leveraging clinical expertise and team feedback to enhance service delivery.
Clinical Outcomes and Program KPIs: Monitor and analyze clinical outcomes and program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), guiding team efforts towards achieving excellence in efficiency and efficacy.
Team Management: Assist the Clinic Manager with hiring mentorship, guidance, team development and training
Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Registration: Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC)
Experience: Ideally demonstrated experience in supervising others and providing leadership within a clinical setting, but would be interested in candidates looking to take their next step into a lead role
Clinical Expertise: Experience with post-concussion, neurological populations, and mental health challenges preferred
Driver's License: Possess an active Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle for transportation.
Versatility: Ability to work both in clinic settings and in the community
Previous Experience: Prior experience with ICBC, LTD, and/or WorkSafeBC (e.g., OT Services, ECAT) considered an asset
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and report-writing skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities
Return to Work Experience: Experience in a Return to Work setting is preferred
Medical Legal Experience: Familiarity with medical legal work is advantageous
Cognitive FCE Experience: Experience in Cognitive Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is beneficial

The Centre for Neurological Studies (CNS) is located within the SNPC, which gives our team of clinicians the opportunity to provide treatment in clinical trials involving medical devices and other therapeutics related to brain and mental health.
