Oil & Gas Severance Tax and Regulatory Manager

Valor is a comprehensive professional services provider that solves complicated problems through technology and innovation. We are seeking qualified applicants for our rapidly growing Operator Services division.

Competency

• Coordinating with both external and internal Production and Revenue groups to prepare timely and accurate reporting to state and federal regulatory agencies
• Actively manage severance tax and regulatory filings and the calendar upon which these are filed with multiple state regulatory agencies
• Prepare, report and pay severance taxes for oil and gas sales associated with client operated and non-op properties in multiple states
• Account Reconciliations
• Ability to collaborate with our growing Operator Services team

Qualification

• 2-4 years industry experience
• Experience with royalty and tax reporting in one or more states of the Rocky Mountain region (CO, MT, ND, UT, WY) is required.
• BS in Accounting or energy related degree a plus
• Ability to work in cross-functional, rapidly changing, deadline driven environment serving multiple clients
• Strong Excel Skills
• Demonstrate strong understanding of oil and gas accounting software platforms (Primarily Wolfepak)
