Role Summary:
In a buy-side financial services setting, the Product Manager is an integral part of Enterprise Technology providing best in class technology solutions, capabilities, and support to the firm's Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Finance and HR teams. This individual will leverage industry leading practices such as Agile, TDD/BDD to architect, build, maintain and support integrations/ applications and vendor solutions in the Enterprise space. The position also requires knowledge of data management strategies and data integration.

This position is responsible for providing a blend of technical, product and investment industry acumen to drive the design, development, and implementation of strategic programs that have firm-wide impact in the Enterprise space. This highly independent role provides design and architecture guidance to the Enterprise technology team and mentors/coaches other team members. The role is analytical and applies technical knowledge combined with business knowledge within the firms Enterprise teams to provide solutions which improve efficiencies and productivity. This role is expected to facilitate and lead discussions resulting in forward-thinking solutions which provide long term value to the firm.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead the creation and ownership of strategic technology roadmaps in collaboration with various cross-functional teams for the Enterprise product space. This will serve as input to the stakeholder governance and prioritization.
  • Business advocacy - pro-actively advocate for business goals and escalating back the responses to open questions around processes, systems, and data.
    • Understand the firm's system architecture and product roadmap including integration between core systems.
    • Create and maintain product, architectural and design documentation including identifying and documenting testing and user requests (stories, acceptance criteria etc.).
  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of strategically important initiatives including scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, and quality.
  • Be a subject matter expert across multiple business and data domains, associated technology and vendor platforms.
  • Using market research to get ideas for products, changes, and innovation that stakeholders want as well as comparing the current products to the competitor / peer landscape to capture latest industry thinking and solutions
  • The role will be responsible for full SDLC work beginning with analysis and design phases, through development and testing. It also includes preparing applications for deployment as well as support of changes.
  • Occasional weeknight and weekend support of deployments and assist production support as needed.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years experience in an Enterprise Technology architecture/development or support role within a Trading, Investment Banking or Asset Management environment
  • Experience with full systems development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile/Scrum methodology and Jira.
  • Expertise in the Enterprise product space including marketing, legal and compliance, finance and HR platforms.
  • Significant experience with Salesforce and familiarity with FundApps, Star Compliance, Sage, Ultipro.
  • Data analytics experience.
  • Experience with TDD (Test Driven Development) or BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and testing frameworks
  • 4-Year Degree in a STEM discipline, or related, from a leading university or institution.
