This is an unpaid fellowship through the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program. The fellow selected for this role will not receive compensation or benefits from GDIT and will not be an employee, agent or contractor of GDIT but rather will remain an employee of the DoD and will receive compensation and benefits through the DoD.

HOW A MCIS TRAINER FELLOW WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Plans, coordinates, and conducts training and related instructional programs for customer personnel.
- Conducts training sessions and assists in evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
- Coordinates logistics for instruction events, including scheduling classes, reserving classrooms, and preparing workstations.
- Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
- Effectively interact with a small GDIT team in the development and establishment of course content and objectives.
- Interact with other GDIT teammates to find solutions to complex problems, maintain knowledge of relevant technology or subject matter.
- Updates course documentation as needed to ensure timeliness and relevance.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participates in the development of training products as required.
- Demonstration of basic knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the delivery of training programs is key to our success.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with performing system management and system administration functions supporting a distributed computing environment consisting of Mission Command Systems to include CPCE, BCCS, AFATDS and AMDWS, and provides for the integration of these systems and administrative systems to support tailored unit digital MCIS training requirements for military units ranging from battalion to echelons above corps.
- Prefer 5+ years' experience or combination of experiences with MCIS, system administration, and or network integration.
- Management of multiple MCIS system's hardware and software resources.
- Experience maintaining and updating technical support request logs, status charts, and system configuration documentation for MCIS systems used in training exercises and events.
- Experience maintaining the integrity and security of servers and systems.
- Experience setting up CPCE, Outlook, SharePoint and other MCIS administrator and service accounts.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Location: Mission Training Complex, Sagamihara Japan.
- AA/AS in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- Security clearance: Secret
- US Citizenship required.
DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:
- Has served at least 180 days on active duty
- Can participate within the last 6 months of separation or retirement
- Will receive an honorable discharge
- Has taken any service TAP/TGPS
- Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
