RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the overall process and governance of master data creation and maintenance to ensure consistency across the organization for all Item Master and Reference data
- Lead cross-functional efforts to implement initial data set-up or mass data creation, revision or enhancement, as necessary to deploy new functionality or business process, or to comply or better align with evolving data standards, policies or guidelines
- Lead Master Data issue resolution efforts. Identify master data quality issues and engage data stewards or owners, ERP Support, IT or other subject matter experts (SMEs) as appropriate to determine root cause and resolve as necessary
- Serves as the main Item Master liaison between the MDM team and the business and is the principal voice for data quality, integration and governance
- Educate and train data steward community on Master Data creation, maintenance and governance. Provide instruction and training to data stewards in the definition, compilation and submission of data management requests
- Assist in the user promotion, education and ongoing development of standards and business rules. Document master data standards, associated business rules, and data dictionary reference
- Develop processes and procedures to facilitate the compilation, review and approval of master data, along with written instructions, user references and special formatted forms and templates, to aid business users with defining their data requirements, and to enhance data quality and consistency
- Serve as process owner for the Product Data Hub - leading the implementation and ongoing maintenance
- Manage the data requirement for the implementation of new locations, products and item/product master data related projects and integrations
- Audit data quality of all master and reference data across all locations and coordinate resulting data cleansing activities
- Manage governance of change requests to MDM components and policies
- Serve as Master Data Management Stewardship Council member, representing the Enterprise MDM team. Collaborate and provide support in the establishment of data governance and management processes
- Leads master data integration activities but not limited to data cleansing, data creation, data conversion, issue resolution, and data validation
- Review Item Master data requests for appropriateness and suitability in Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) applications within Oracle ERP, Data Warehouse and other downstream applications
- Provide support and assistance to user groups in the implementation, ongoing development and user adoption of MRP functionality. Engage Data and Process Owners to define master data and process metrics, agree on targets and create plans managing toward the targets.
- Collaborate or provide input in the design and deployment of essential Item master OBIEE and PowerBI reports or queries for system user groups.
- Enforce established Master Data standards and best practices.
- Lead in project management of master data related tasks assigned to MDM through external projects or initiatives. Identify and communicate project risks and recommend solutions
- Perform or coordinate selective UAT testing in support for deploying software patches, upgrades or initial implementation of existing, unused modules, and the Production verification of automated mass data loads.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of direct experiencein Master Data Governance role
- 4+ years or direct experience supporting master data for large ERP implementations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to state things simply and persuasively for a variety of audiences - internal, external, business and technical

- Technical fluency; understanding and discussing architectural concepts
- Experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SQL
- Experience with Visualization tools (ex. Power Bi, Tableau)
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Supply Chain processes a plus
- BS Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Management or equivalent
- Advanced degree a plus
- APICS certification a plus
