Position Summary
The VP of Sales is an individual contributor responsible for selling products spanning the Vecima portfolio to Charter corporate and regional divisions.
The VP of Sales will responsible for successfully leading solution architects, design engineers, service personnel, and product management through the customer's sales cycle.
The VP of Sales will work from their home office in Denver with travel required for meetings with regional divisions, industry events, and internal sessions.
Duties & Responsibilities to include (but not limited to)
Revenue attainment and management of forward-looking sales forecast
Negotiate at senior levels with maturity and credibility
Develop and maintain strategic corporate accounts and relationships
Provide Vecima visibility into market trend, customer requirements, and ongoing activity
Ensure customers receive prompt responses and feedback
Facilitate open, clear, concise communication with customers and Vecima team members
Build Vecima brand recognition
Education & Experience Requirements
Degree in a Relevant Technical Field Preferred (Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physics)
Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in a Relevant Field (Business, Sales) Beneficial
7 or More Years of Successful Sales Experience in Selling Highly Technical Products
Experience Working in Cable, Telecom, and Similar Markets
Experience Engaging Charter at the VP Level and Above
Experience with Video Delivery including Content Delivery Networks
Experience with Data Infrastructure including Distributed Access Architectures and Remote-PHY
Experience with Storage Technologies such as CEPH preferred
Experience with Dynamic Ad Insertion and the associated platforms preferred
Background in any of the following areas would be considered an asset
Demonstrates knowledge and confidence navigating complex sales cycles
Exceptional talent negotiating and closing deals
Proven track record targeting and capturing business
Understands how to identify, quality, and quantify prospect opportunities
Self-motivated and comfortable problem-solving with limited background information
Capable of managing, designing, and implementing a strategic initiative
Strong understanding of video and data technologies
Comfortable selling to large companies in the cable industry
Dynamic presentation capabilities and strength capturing or conveying technical information
Results focused with accountability for revenue, margin, pipeline, and spending
Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management with executives at or above VP level
Willing to travel up to 40% and ability to accommodate markets in different time zones
