ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop behavior intervention plans utilizing research-based behavior analytic interventions for students with and without disabilities, including emotional impairment, autism, and other disabilities.
- Develop skill acquisition plans/learning programs utilizing research-based behavior analytic interventions for students with and without disabilities, including emotional impairment, autism, and other disabilities.
- Develop skill based social skills groups utilizing research-based behavior analytic interventions for students with and without disabilities, including emotional impairment, autism, and other disabilities.
- Conduct observational and experimental functional behavior assessments with written reports.
- Conduct criterion-based assessments such as the VB-MAPP, AFLS and ABLLS with written reports.
- Create data management systems with accompanying visual analysis displays to track and display student targets/progress.
- Train staff (paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators and other service providers) on specific interventions and related procedures by utilizing a Behavior Skills Training model.
- Develop and lead group training on behavior analytic interventions and procedures.
- Consult teams in the development of behavior goals and objectives for IEPs and attend team meetings.
- Effectively collaborate with and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including but not limited to students, district and school personnel, and parents.
- Consult with parents and home-based providers to develop effective programming for students that will generalize across settings.
- Attend team meetings as necessary and requested. Maintain and keep required credentials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BCBA certification required
- A Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Experience providing supervision to direct care staff
- Experience training staff individually and in large groups
- Working knowledge of special education regulations and IEP process
- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
