The Heart Center is a 23 bed Cardiac Special Care and 12 bed CCU unit. The Heart Center cares for a variety of cardiac patients including chest pain, MI, pacemaker, post procedural, etc. The unit provides telemetry and intermediate care for patients while offering exceptional patient experience.
The nurse manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Heart Center to ensure support of the mission, goals, and objectives of the unit and Fairview Health Services.
Responsibilities also include:
Human resource management to achieve quality service and positive employee engagement. Providing in-services as required by regulatory agencies, and ensuring department and unit standards.
Achievement of high standards of patient satisfaction as well as stellar clinical quality results.
Accountability for effective fiscal management to ensure proper utilization of financial resources.
Development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement programs for the department.
Adherence to compliance with internal and external regulations, policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain a healthy, supportive work environment, demonstrating behaviors consistent with service excellence.
Fairview Southdale Hospital has received the 2016 Women's Choice Award for America's Best Hospital for Heart Care and the 2016 Healthgrades 5 Star Status for Coronary Interventions, Heart Attack, and Heart Failure.
Qualifications
Job qualifications:
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field or
MS degree in nursing
Preferred Education
Advanced Degree in nursing or related field
Minimum License/Certification/Registration
Minnesota RN license - upon hire
Minimum Experience
3 years clinical nursing experience
1 year of leadership experience
Preferred Experience
Cardiac or Critical Care
