CHD is seeking an experienced Clinical Director Juvenile Justice Program located in Springfield, MA. The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight of the clinical services provided in the residential setting, including supervision of clinical staff, individual, family and group counseling, clinical consultation and case management and the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment models.
The Clinical Director will work with the youth, clinical and residential staff, as well as other stakeholders to develop a treatment plan that will support the youth's successful transition to their next step. The Clinical Director will oversee the gathering of all relevant historical information, engage in and monitor case reviews and the development of treatment plans for the youth. Strategies to be utilized will include Positive Youth Development, Occupational Therapy techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Recreational Therapy, as well as psychopharmaceutic interventions. Supervision of one to two clinicians, and active engagement with the residential and educational components of the program to support youth treatment and success.
Master's Degree and Independent clinical license is required. Applicants should possess significant experience working with youth and families in an involuntary residential/secure setting; experience working with troubled adolescents, effective de-escalation skills and ability to work well under stress and in crisis situations; experience supervising clinical staff, and open and direct interpersonal style with good teamwork and leadership skills. Must have valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle. Experience with DYS and DCF preferred.
