We're rapidly expanding and looking for a skilled IT Manager to oversee the helpdesk, IT Operations and Cybersecurity functions for Covercraft, a growing company with six production plants across the US and Mexico. The role will report to the CIO and is a vital leadership position within the organization, requiring strong business skills, a sharp customer service focus and a strong passion for efficient operations. The role will be in charge of constant and effective coordination with various business units to ensure agreement on current and future technology needs within the fast-growing business.
The role reports directly to the CIO and is a key member of the IT Leadership Team. The IT Manager leads a team of seven people and multiple third-party relationships. Leadership duties include managing the capital budget, overseeing projects, and ensuring adherence to regulations and industry standards. Other responsibilities include leading IT staff, working with vendors and MSP's, supervising daily operations, and cybersecurity operations, and coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning:
- Work with the CIO to develop and implement a strategic IT Infrastructure Plan aligned with overall business objectives and manufacturing plant objectives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT initiatives that prioritize security as well as support plant operations.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable IT infrastructure with a focus on uptime and resilience.
- Technical Leadership:
- Lead a team of IT professionals responsible for managing hosts, VMs, storage, networking, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Provide expertise around Office365 and Azure cloud operations with a focus on securing cloud technologies.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of all IT systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues impacting cloud services, network connectivity, and security.
- Help Desk Oversight:
- Manage and evaluate the performance of a third-party helpdesk service.
- Work with business units to ensure helpdesk SLAs are appropriate and followed to ensure timely and accurate resolution for technical issues.
- Lead on-site team of L2, L3, and Network Engineers and act as escalation for outsourced helpdesk services.
- Cloud Services and Architecture:
- Leverage your strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and other cloud technologies to ensure a strong standard of performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Continually optimize cloud resources for security, resilience, and scalability.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard cloud assets.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, e-commerce, and other business teams.
- Provide regular updates on IT operations and performance to senior management by use of standardized KPIs and dashboards.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field is highly desired. A mix of education and experience may be considered.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Azure, AWS, ITIL, CISSP, VCP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills with a passion for ensuring prompt issue resolution. Ability to easily work with different types of job roles from executive leadership to plant floor operations.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in IT engineering, cloud operations or service desk operations.
- 2+ years of prior leadership roles, preferably in IT Engineering is required.
- Understanding of plant manufacturing processes is desirable.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
Location and Travel Requirements
- The candidate may be in one of the following locations: Areas surrounding Paul's Valley, OK such as Norman, OK or Ardmore, OK or Oklahoma City; Wichita Falls, TX; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL Areas are preferred. Remote possible with the right candidate.
- Candidate must be willing to travel to various plant and office locations at least 2-3X per quarter. Trips are planned and typically flexible on timing.
