Job Description

Job Summary: The Account Executive is responsible for selling Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) and Advanced Wound Dressings (AWD) products. The Account Executive's primary functions are driving new growth opportunities through territory strategy development, new product adoption, new account/business development, c-suite call points, and business reviews (both internal/external). The Account Executive is also a part of a larger team, including in partnership with Account Consultants (in select locations), that develops and maintains customer relationships to influence the adoption and continued usage of NPWT and AWD products.

Responsibilities:
Develops and manages relationships with key customer decision-makers including physicians, clinicians, senior account administrators, procurement, and materials management staff
Effectively sells in an operation room setting
Books and manages surgical rounds and presentations either on their own or in collaboration with Marketing, Clinical, and other sales representatives when available
Successfully gains approval of products to the New Product Evaluation committees or like committees
Ensures recruitment and development of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) for peer to peer selling
Manages the transition of patients from acute to post-acute care
Actively manages the sales territory by partnering with the appropriate sales and support roles including the local Clinical Therapies Specialist and Regional Account Manager
Presents and reinforces Acelity value proposition to differentiate Acelity from competitive offerings
Coordinates and runs basic to advanced customer education programs in collaboration with Marketing, Clinical, and other sales groups
Creates and executes account plans to bring strategic focus to territory management
Maximizes every customer-facing opportunity by building effective pre and post call plans
Manages customer requests and/or issues related to billing, VAC losses, and other related administrative responsibilities as required.
Promotes greater emphasis on distance education in territories with large and/or remote geographies using various online learning tools
Maintains data entry and utilizes salesforce.com to assist UIU analysis, YTD tracking, Capital sales opportunity funnel, complaint management, and various other reports in developing a territory plan to prioritize account calls and activities
Completes all administrative duties in a timely manner including expense reports and sales reports requested by management.
Participates in On-call duties periodically throughout year
Completes project work as required and participates in all reasonable work activities that is deemed suitable and assigned by management

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Abilities:
Bachelors Degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years related sales experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
Excellent presentation skills demonstrating both clinical and economic data to support NPWT products and other focused products
Evidence of top sales achievement with experience in multilevel account management required.
Ability to analyze sales reports and data to develop business plans and to create effective strategies to increase sales and meet sales forecasts within the territory
Demonstrates excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and coach others.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce.com
Must be a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently without supervision
Ability to engage in self appraisal and continuous learning
Possess thorough knowledge of health care segments (acute, home care and long-term care) to strategically deploy resources and investment spending is preferred
Embraces and adapts well to both internal and external business and climate changes
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and exercises discretion in all business dealings
Must be willing to travel to attend scheduled business and corporate functions as required.
Must be available to work weekends and evenings when required
Must have a valid driver's license & reliable transportation vehicle available for business purposes
