Director of the MS Program in Applied Behavior Analysis
The Department of Psychologyat Western New England University invites applications for a full-time tenure-trackAssociate or Full professor to serve as the Director of our M.S. program inApplied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to fill an immediate opening with thepossibility of a Fall 2025 start if necessary.
We seek an energeticcolleague to join our faculty who will complement and diversify existingresearch and mentoring. The Directorposition is a full-time position with an 11-month contract that extends theregular 9-month faculty contract to provide summer support. As Director, the faculty member works closelywith the Chair of the department to oversee the M.S. in ABA program. The program is offered at the The New EnglandCenter for Children (NECC), and the program director responsibilities will becarried out at the NECC school in Southborough, MA. NECC is an internationallyrecognized center at the forefront of research and treatment for autismspectrum disorders that provides a comprehensive, structured atmosphere forresearch and clinical experiences. TheDirector will provide programmatic leadership and assurances of quality incoursework and clinical training.
The ideal candidate will havestrong clinical research skills, an active research program, and a record ofscholarly productivity. The area ofresearch is open, but specialization should emphasize clinical focus andapplication. The faculty member willhave the opportunity to recruit and mentor both masters and doctoral students intheir research. The faculty member willalso have the opportunity to teach courses in their area of expertise in the mastersand doctoral programs.

Primary Duties andResponsibilities:
- Teach 3 graduate courses per year
- Maintain an active program of research that provides research opportunities for graduate students
- Collaborate with the program faculty to develop and revise a high quality curriculum that meets the standards set by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
- In conjunction with program faculty, organize practicum experiences that meet the requirements of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
- Maintain approval for our Verified Course Sequence through the Association for Behavior Analysis International
- Organize the review of student admission materials by faculty, and submit admissions decisions
- Schedule courses and secure instructors to provide courses
- Coordinate the appointment of adjunct faculty members to teach courses and oversee research and practica
- Coordinate student registration
- Arrange for and review course evaluations for all courses, and work with faculty to improve courses as needed
- Coordinate program evaluation and submit required documentation

Qualifications:
- PhD in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or related discipline
- Hold or be eligible for BCBA-D Certification
- A record of teaching behavior analysis in higher education
- A record of scholarly productivity and experiencesupervising students in research
