DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The person selected will:
Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a relevant community college curriculum in Administration of Justice;
Provide instruction in Law Enforcement and Corrections Associate and Certificate programs;
Prepare complete course syllabi and outline, and work on articulation with local colleges and universities;
Adapt instructional techniques to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities to support student success;
Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments;
Participate in district/college/division committees as required to maintain and improve the instructional program;
Establish and participate in the activities of the Administration of Justice Advisory Committee;
Be committed to the participatory governance process.
Essential Duties Summary
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors in Administration of Justice at California Community Colleges:
Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
Any bachelor's degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
The equivalent OR
Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area.

$53.28 - $88.75/Lecture Rate Per Hour
