Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Signal and Power Integrity (Si/Pi) Engineer to join our IP Cores team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.
As a Si/Pi Engineer, the candidate will work with our development teams and the customer to ensure successful deployment of our high-speed interface IP and semiconductor product chips. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Systems Solution Engineering and is a Full-Time position.

As a Si/Pi Engineer, the candidate will work with our development teams and the customer to ensure successful deployment of our high-speed interface IP and semiconductor product chips. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Systems Solution Engineering and is a Full-Time position.

Responsibilities:
- Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) modelling and analysis of high-speed Memory and Serdes interfaces for end-to-end system solution including circuit, package, and PCB
- Collaborates with analog designers, system engineers, package and board designers to drive system SI/PI design
- Emphasis on Si/Pi quality for customer success
- Drives correlation between post-silicon and system simulation
- Contributes to next generation circuit and system feasibility studies
- Follows and influences industry and standards committees with implementation constraints
Qualifications:
- M.S. degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, or related engineering discipline
- +5 years of relevant industry experience. Varying levels of experience will be considered.
- Deep understanding of highspeed analog/mixed-signal design concepts. Able to understand the impacts of circuit and logic behavior on overall signal integrity. Able to diagnose SI issues back to architecture and design.
- Experience with 2D/3D modeling tools such as Cadence Sigrity, Ansoft HFSS/Q3D, Keysight ADS, Matlab/Simulink, Python
- Work experience with communication theory, including the concepts of frequency domain modeled in the Z-domain or S-domain, convolution, and auto-correlation
- Domain knowledge of at least one of the following protocols:
- PCI Express Gen1-4, Gen5, Gen6
- Ethernet KR
- JESD, CPRI standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers to understand how to best address requirements.
- Technically creative, results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently including customer support issues and priorities.
- Adaptability to fast-moving, changing environment with constant challenge.
- High degree of self-motivation and personal responsibility.
- Work well within a team environment.
