THE COMPANY is a rapidly growing San Francisco Bay Area based e-commerce company partnering with leading food companies to handle their direct to consumer e-commerce businesses where we build and manage their official e-commerce webstores. We currently manage over 60 webstores including: Celestial Seasonings Tea, Tootsie Roll Industries, Torani Syrups & Sauces, Atkins, and many others.

THE POSITION
World Pantry provides a turn-key solution for branded webstores that empowers our brand partners to establish and grow a direct relationship with their most loyal customers via direct-to-consumer sales. We believe that exceptional service is a key part of any winning online strategy, and this role will help us provide outstanding service to our brand partners and our internal stakeholders.
The Project Manager at World Pantry will work closely with the Engineering Department, Marketing Team, Experimentation Team, Data Team and other key stakeholders to solidify project requirements, coordinate information and asset flow, create timelines, schedule releases and communicate the status of projects to relevant parties in the organization. Projects will range from front end web content changes and experiments, full web store redesigns/launches, new web store functionality deployments, and internal/external report builds and modifications in Looker's data visualization software. This is a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment and is perfect for someone who wants to have a noticeable impact in a growing company by showcasing their organizational and interpersonal savvy.
This role will report to the Product Manager. This is a brand-new position at our company, and the right person will have the opportunity to shape how this role expands into new responsibilities and throughout other areas of the organization.

Specifically, the Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Working with Marketing, Brands and Engineering to create project scope consensus and documentation.
- Building project timelines.
- Facilitating, managing and improving World Pantry DevOps process.
- Keeping DevOps up to date with expected deployment dates, and communicating any changes to those dates internally to key stakeholders.
- Understanding and monitoring World Pantry engineering project build and deployment velocity.
- Keeping a calendar of major project releases, mapping it against that velocity.
- Working with Marketing and other departments to establish priority in case items need to be moved.
- Working with Experimentation and Data Visualization Teams to scope builds and map out launch dates.
- Understanding the infrastructure of our databases and working with engineers and front-end users to problem solve as needed.
- Attending and/or running project meetings with Marketing and Brand Partners.
- Coordinating between Marketing and Engineering when needed to secure assets, clarify scope, etc.
- Ensuring project scope requirements are met throughout the process.
QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- B.A. or B.S. degree
- 3-5 years' experience managing web development projects. Experience in an ecommerce role a big plus.
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to track multiple projects/timelines simultaneously.
- Proven organizational leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with project management tools (DevOps, Jira, etc) a big plus
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills - the ability to take a complex concept and make it accessible to folks who are not close to the work.
- Strong interpersonal skills - you like people and people like you.
- Ability to collaborate and strategize with internal and external stakeholders.
- Invested in the success of their colleagues.
- Ability to work with a team composed of both technical and non-technical members, keeping everyone on the same page.

Within their first twelve months, the Project Manager will have accomplished the following:
- Firmly established her/himself as the go-to person for all web development projects.
- Measurably increased project throughput by optimizing the process and decreasing time spent per project.
- Facilitated and maintained a project management system that makes it easy for key stakeholders to check on the status of all development projects at any moment.
- Created and maintained a process by which the organization and management can easily determine priority of projects to make sure that everyone is working on the right project at the right time for the company and our brand partners.
- Is regarded throughout the organization as a positive team player who contributes to their coworkers' success.
