Position Impact: The Key Account Sales Manager is responsible for selling to, managing and growing a portfolio of EMG retail and omni-channel accounts (Experience with selling products into mass merchant, department store, hardware, grocery retailer, a plus). Our core competency is within the kitchen/home appliances and housewares categories, however flexibility to work outside these categories will be necessary. This role acts as the primary point of contact for a base of assigned accounts, working closely with retail buyers and management to maximize sales and profits and drive distribution of EMG's large product catalog of owned and distributed brands.

Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with buyers, category managers, and other decision makers at key retail and omni-channel accounts - including the opening of new accounts
- Negotiate terms, pricing, promotions, product assortment, and marketing initiatives to grow sales and profitability for EMG
- Collaborate with internal and external sales, marketing, and product teams to align on account strategies, merchandising, and go-to-market plans
- Analyze data including point-of-sale, inventory, promotion effectiveness to identify areas of opportunity
- Present new product launches, product education, and sales presentations to buyers
- Work with brand and customer service teams to help resolve issues related to orders, shipments, inventory levels, product quality, and related matters
- Monitor competitive activity and provide market intelligence to internal and external teams
- Help to plan, forecast, and achieve monthly and annual sales & profit targets and meet or exceed individual account and brand goals
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 plus years of sales account management
- Strong understanding of retail and omni channel selling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter capable of working individually and as a team member
- Ability to interpret data and metrics to drive fact-based decision making
- Proficiency in Excel and related MS Office programs
- Willingness to travel to visit retailers or to company HQ, as needed (
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in consumer products account management or retail buyer role
- Selling into key retailers and omni-channel accounts with eCommerce
