Job Description
Registered Nurse to function as our Director of Women's and Children's Services. The Director of Womens and Childrens services directs, supervises and coordinates all functions and activities of these units. This includes overall direction of clinical, human resources and financial management of the units. Uses established principles of delegation and supervision to direct the activities of all licensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff in the delivery of patient care during their assigned shift. Uses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources.
Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelors in Nursing required. CurrentTexas License or Current license with Compact State. BCLS (required at time ofhire and maintained throughout term of employment). NRP required within 3months of hire and maintained throughout term of employment. STABLE preferred within 3months of hire. ACLS required within 1year of hire and maintained throughout employment. PALS required within 6months of hire and maintained throughout employment. Experience managing 50-60 people. Experience in all areas of maternal child care. Preferred Qualifications: Greater than 3 years of experience in desired nursery,NICU, post partem, OB, and/or pediatrics. Managerial experience in womens and childrens services. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. MSN strongly preferred. Specialty certification recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in the applicable area of practice preferred.
