Qualifications
- Instruction/teaching, public speaking skills and experience in training seminars or formal training courses in an adult education environment: 10 years (Preferred)
- Journeyman/Masters electrical license: (Preferred)
- Low voltage industrial installation/troubleshooting: 15 years (Preferred)
- Low voltage residential installation/troubleshooting: 15 years (Preferred)
- Low voltage electronics installation/troubleshooting: 15 years (Preferred)
- Must be skilled in how to use basic tools.
- Must possess computer skills in MS Office tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Adobe.
- Must possess strong communication and customer relation skills.
- Knowledge of basic/advanced electrical/electronic theory.
- Knowledge of electrical terms required for electrical installations, such as branch circuits and grounding systems requirements.
- Knowledge of wiring methods for determining conductor ampacity.
- Knowledge of sizing circuits and devices for motors and motor circuits.
- Thorough knowledge of electric motor controls/field devices, relay control schemes, PLCs, motor drives, LV & MV motors, components and controls.
- Knowledge of electrical print reading, one-line diagrams, symbols etc
- Knowledge overcurrent protection, voltage drop, neutral load and other calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints, electrical prints and other related technical documentation.
- Knowledge of electrical shock and flash hazards to include a calculation of boundaries.
- Knowledge of electrical hazards, safety regulations, the use of safe work procedures and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to read a wide variety of overcurrent trip devices and their corresponding time

- Knowledge of installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshoot circuit breakers rated at less than 1K VAC, equipped with electromechanical or solid state tripping devices.
- Knowledge of low voltage circuit breaker cabinet maintenance and service.
- Knowledge of low voltage circuit breaker components, mechanical adjustments and electrical testing.
- Valid Driver's License and passport (Required)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver basic and specialized training and seminars with a training curriculum.
- Communicate appropriate safety precautions with the hazards of electricity.
- Modify and adapt existing training curriculum by researching customer's applications and creates new training programs as needed.
- Identify curriculum errors, areas of improvement and propose document changes.
- Tests trainees to measure progress, evaluate hands on training and provide ongoing training recommendations.
- Conduct on-line virtual training sessions.
- Participate in meetings, seminars and training sessions to keep abreast of industry standards.
- Deliver and participate in Train-the-Trainer programs and coach others involved in training efforts to provide growth and staff development opportunities.
- Assists other departments and participates in departmental meetings when required.
- Maintain, update, configure, and repair lab training equipment.
