Job Description Summary

The IT Project Manager III is responsible for overall project management activities for large-sized projects with medium to high complexity, scope, and financial impact. Responsible for ensuring project is delivered on time, within budget, and meeting project success criteria. Develops and maintains project charter, project plans, and other project management deliverables. Responsible for setting timelines and monitoring task progress, budget tracking, resource allocation, risk assessment, and issue management. Escalates issues to leadership as needed. Provides project status reports to leadership and key stakeholders. For these positions technical acquisition/divestiture experience with an infrastructure lens would be highly relevant. I would like a smattering of different experience in the PM roles. Eg. Network experience, DC experience, database & middleware etc.

Project management
  • Manages medium to large-sized projects with medium to high complexity, scope, and/or financial impact.
  • Develops detailed project plan and schedule including activities, dependencies, deliverables, stakeholders, etc.
  • Identifies and uses appropriate Project Management methodologies as required by the project
  • Monitors and reports project progress and status and reports to key stakeholders
  • Manages project plan and timelines and leads project requirement workshops
  • Creates and maintains project artifacts
  • Develops reports and/or dashboards as required
  • Defines and manages execution of project activities by identified responsible parties in consultation with aligned SMEs.
  • Identifies and analyzes risks and issues; facilitates creation of response plans for identified risks
  • Develops and manages relationships with project technical teams and key business stakeholders.
  • Conducts post project review and shares learnings across key business stakeholders
  • Monitors and manages against the project financial and resource allocation budget
  • Owns and manages issues to resolution; escalates to leadership as needed.
  • Mentors and/or coaches team members.

Role-specific Technical Skills and Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of MS Project and MS Excel - advanced functions
  • Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management principles and application against client-facing projects.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices including Waterfall, PMI, Agile and SCRUM methodologies preferred.
  • Solid foundation in software development and computer science principles and practices.
Educational Qualification

Bachelors or Associates degree in Computer Science, MIS, Project Management or related field

Work Experience

5-10 Years work experience

Certification
  • PMP Certification - Prince2 or PMI (Preferred)
  • MS Project
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Agile (preferred)
  • SCRUM (preferred)
