Practice Details
Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Physician to join the group of 8 providers in our Pediatric Urgent Care Clinic in Fargo, ND. This clinic provides prompt care exclusively for children with acute illnesses or minor injuries on a walk -in basis.
Full or Part time position available
Department consists of 6 Pediatric Physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners, fast-paced environment
Varied shifts available between 7:30am-7:30pm Monday - Friday and 8am-5pm Saturday-Sunday; No Call
8 exam rooms and 1 treatment room
Staffing is 2-3 Providers on staff at all times
700-900 patients a week with fluctuating volumes throughout the day and week
Located in same building and adjacent to General Pediatric outpatient practice
Sanford Medical Center houses a 12 bed PICU, with additional flex beds if needed. Floor shared with 20-24 bed pediatric unit, and 40-bed Level III NICU.
Largest team of more than 65 board certified, fellowship-trained pediatricians and pediatric specialists in the region with in house 24/7 pediatric hospitalist support

Job Description
Core privileges also include providing care to patients in the intensive care setting. In addition, applicants may assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services. At least 70% of time is spent in the urgent care setting, including satellite clinics.

Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree.

Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways and should be reflective of the privileges being requested:
An applicant who has just completed a residency provides his/her residency log.
OR
An applicant who is not applying directly out of a residency shall provide a quality profile from the hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications. The applicant must be able to demonstrate at least 50 pediatric patients in the last 12 months.
OR
If a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges, documentation of the applicant's clinical setting activity for the last 12 months is required. The applicant must be able to demonstrate at least 50 pediatrc patients in the clinical practice in the last 12 months.

More education and experience may be required the more advanced the practice becomes.

Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency Pediatric program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than the above, may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy.

Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
