CONSULTANT NEUROLOGISTS - LOCUMS
BERMUDA HOSPITALS BOARD
Bermuda Hospitals Board is seeking Consultant Locum Neurologists to provide locum tenens on a periodic basis.
Successful applicants will provide a range of general neurology procedures for patients, across inpatient and outpatient services, including and not limited to the assessment of neurology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings; providing advice or managing the care, where appropriate, of patients under the care of other specialists.
The Post Holder will actively participate in Stroke quality improvement and accreditation activities, working with the Stroke Director to monitor the care of patients within the Stroke Unit and throughout the Organization.
Clinical responsibilities including, inpatient, outpatient and procedural work (e.g. EMG nerve conduction studies, EEG, evoked potential polysomnography. Ensure adequate communication occurs between clinicians within the organization. Produce detailed patient care treatment plans are in place to support the timely management of patients. Maintain a high standard of all-clinical record documentation and effective patient handover and transfer of care. Communication with medical practitioners external to the organization regarding patients under their care, including providing detailed discharge summaries as indicated (where applicable).
In addition to a competitive pay rate, Locums are provided with economy class airfare. Transportation to and from the Bermuda Airport. Hospital accommodation and Medical Malpractice Insurance.

- Board certified
- Specialty registration and training in Neurological Medicine. Current registration with Bermuda Medical Council with valid license to practice.
- Current registration with Medical Council in relevant jurisdiction and be eligible to register with Bermuda Medical Council
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Consultant Neurologist
