Responsibilities

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking an Environmental Safety and Health Manager to join the ES&H Research and Development Team. Manage the ES&H organizational activities of Mission/Line and deployed Environmental and OS&H staff. Build a high functioning multidisciplinary ES&H team. Work is performed without appreciable direction.
Serve as a single point of contact to the Mission/Line Director, and is responsible for representing Environmental organization at the Mission/Line senior management meetings then integrating, interfacing and conveying needed services, issues and deadlines to the above organizations. Maintain a working knowledge and communication path with the OS&H Director, ESH&Q Division Directorate/Managers and other OS&H/ES&H managers in reference to general activities and issues.
Coordinate and convey to the OS&H Director/Mission Directors/Managers the resources (budget, manpower, expertise, equipment), necessary to execute the OS&H processes requested by the Mission/Line.
Provide feedback on issues, concerns, and performance indicators.
Provide accomplishments to the OS&H Director, ES&H Division Director/Managers and mission director for inclusion in the Management System/ Mission/Line quarterly Management Review Meetings.
Implement company, corporate and customer OS&H requirements, address and resolve OS&H functional and technical issues to achieve Mission/Line success.

Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education and/or Experience):
Must have at a minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree plus 8 years of relevant experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L Security Clearance.

License(s) or Certification(s) Required:
CIH preferred and/or CSP preferred.

Certification Exam(s): Testing Designated Position (TDP).
