The Sr. Manager Disease Strategy & Customer Solutions will be responsible for executing disease education and customer solutions plan across the Lung portfolio, including EGFR and Immuno-Oncology, to position AstraZeneca (AZ) externally as a commercial leader in the treatment of lung cancer.
This position will report directly into the Director, Lung Cancer Customer & Disease Strategy and will work in close partnership with cross functional partners including brand marketing, field sales, medical, and other functions in order to support execution of optimal disease education and innovative customer solutions.

This position will report directly into the Director, Lung Cancer Customer & Disease Strategy and will work in close partnership with cross functional partners including brand marketing, field sales, medical, and other functions in order to support execution of optimal disease education and innovative customer solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for leading and execution disease state education in Lung and innovative customer solutions
- Responsible for pulling through integrated and overall Lung customer strategy, disease education and execution plans in support of Astrazeneca's leadership in Lung Cancer
- Partner on and pull through thought leader engagement, speaker bureau management, and disease education for Lung portfolio
- Collaborate closely with cross functional (medical affairs and commercial) teams to strategically identify and prioritize market challenges/barriers and implement new solutions
- Possess strong leadership, business acumen, and ability to manage multiple priorities, processes, timelines and expectations of multiple stakeholder groups
- Strong experience and working understanding of thought leader engagement, customer strategy, disease education platforms/processes and lung cancer are critical for success
- Lead innovative thinking and strategies to execute disease education and customer services to support overall Lung portfolio
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: managed markets, brand marketing, sales management, strategic planning
- Oncology experience strongly preferred
- Previous management and leadership experience
- Previous disease education and/or marketing experience
- Be available to work some evenings and weekends
- Overnight travel will be required
- Expected travel up to 30% monthly
Preferred Requirements:
- MBA in marketing or pharmaceutical marketing
- Strong leadership skills
- Great communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Ability to strategically develop and gauge feasibility, impact and risks of proposed programs
- Comfort operating in a highly regulated environment and industry
