JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Threat Management Specialist function is essential to client's ability to defend the systems from cyber threat, including direct support of life safety, revenue generating, operations. The Threat Management Specialist will contribute to client's ability to respond to vulnerability notifications and prioritized system patching info.
MANDATORY SKILLS
Senior Cyber Security consultant with 10+ years of experience
5+ years of experience in Threat Management/SOC/Incident Response environment.
DESIRABE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of information security principles, practices, and procedures
Strong understanding of network and host technologies
Experience applying techniques for detecting host and network-based intrusion using IDS methods and technologies.
Experience with SIEM technologies, malware analysis and mitigation techniques
pply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation)
Interpret information collected by diagnostic network tools (nslookup, Ping and Traceroute)
bility to investigate and solve complex problems.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
1. Professional certification such as Certified Threat Manager (CTM) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
2. Certified or familiar with structured professional judgment tools such as WAVR-21, CTAP-25, SARA, ODARA, SRP, etc
