Job Description

Responsibilities
Manage hazardous materials projects including asbestos and lead investigations;
Interpret findings and develop technical findings reports;
Develop hazardous materials abatement plans and specifications;
Coordinate and manage office and field staff;
Plan, direct and coordinate activities related to complex and/or large contracts;
Ensure that contract stipulations and company goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed timeframe and projected costs;
Serve as a technical consultant to colleagues internally from senior managers to project participants; and
Participate in marketing initiates and plans to obtain new business while promoting client satisfaction

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related degree or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 5 years, including relevant state and federal certifications including, but not limited to NYSDOL, NYCDEP, and USEPA listed below
5-10 years of field experience in asbestos and lead management, with at least 5 years of experience within New York City
Additional Experience with PCB's, building materials, indoor air quality and mold preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills required
Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
Must be able to work in confined spaces
Must be comfortable working on ladders
Preferred Certifications: C.H.M.M., NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor; Inspector & Designer; NYCDEP Asbestos Investigator; and USEPA Lead Risk Assessor
