Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Work with the Software and Systems Engineering department to develop and implement solutions that meet VIA Motors' short-term and long-term software and systems controls engineering requirements.
-Hands-on development and implementation of model based control software: specification, design, implementation and validation.
-Hands-on development of simulation environment suitable to assisting development and validation of model based software.
-Capture of requirements from internal/external customers and developing them into achievable software requirements.
-Review of software developed by peers. Risk assessment via DFMEA.
-Develop processes, work instructions and guidelines for the software development life cycle.
-Leadership on developing verification and validation test plans and supervising testing.
-Contribution to proposals to customers, especially technical content. Pursuing of patent protection for VIA technology where appropriate.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Software Engineering or
related field plus 5 years of experience.
-Experience in model-based design using graphical software programming tools such as Matlab/Simulink.
-CAN network protocols and Electric System Control experience; configuration Management and Version Control management tool experience and
-Experience with management Tools such as Telelogic DOORS or TopTeam.
-Experience in the Software Development Life Cycle.
-Occasional domestic travel to support certification/customer requirements.
