Advarra is looking for a Manager, Safety for our IRB Services team to provide supervision for a team of Coordinators and Senior Coordinators responsible for processing prompt reporting events (PRE), reporting to the institutional official(s) and regulatory authorities (as appropriate), and populating the Advarra Product Database. The position is responsible for developing and managing staff and addressing any operational or performance barriers to ensure timely and accurate processing of CIRBI PRE's, as well as providing cross departmental customer service. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Oversight
Promptly assign staff to process Prompt Reporting Events (PRE) and Product Database entries to ensure timely and accurate completion of work
Monitor and evaluate workload and allocate budgeted resources to meet service delivery obligations.
Maintain regulatory compliance with all PRE and other safety event CIRBI items processed
Recommend staffing changes as appropriate
Collect and report metrics as assigned
In collaboration with the Quality Control Team, oversee and track team quality issues. Address any identified errors in accordance with established procedures.
Ensure quality internal and external customer service
Leadership
Train, develop, and evaluate employees
Identify, communicate and address staff performance issues
Provide leadership and direction through operational and organizational change
Maintain accessibility and availability for staff to escalate questions or complaints to the attention of management
Perform regular and annual performance review of staff
Facilitate team development activities to develop and maintain team morale
Training
Provide on-the-job training and professional development to staff
Monitor and develop process improvements to established systems
Identify opportunities to improve people, process, and technology and collaborate with management to evaluate and prioritize those opportunities
Additional projects
Additional project support and execution as assigned
Assign and oversee projects delegated to Safety team members, as needed
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
3 to 5 years of leadership experience in an administrative services environment (preferably in a regulated industry)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Developing and motivating teams
Effective written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience in using sound judgment concerning business decisions and sensitive client and/or employee issues.
Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in MS Office

Ability to implement and execute change accordingly
