Objective of the Position: The Quality Manager will be primarily responsible for plant level Quality Management Systems (QMS) which can be defined as a set of policies, processes and procedures required for planning and execution (production / development / service) in the core business area of an organization. QMS integrates the various internal processes within the organization and intends to provide a process approach for project execution. QMS enables the organizations to identify measure, control and improve the various core business processes that will ultimately lead to improved business performance.

Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all Purem polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirement Profile:
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
Minimum seven years' experience in Quality.
Minimum seven years' experience working for a manufacturing supplier preferably automotive.
Two (2) years related experience in welding and metal fabrication and, supervising or managing employees.
Preferred but not mandatory - certification of CQA, CMQ/OE, CQT by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
Hands on experience and proficient with Warranty analysis, PSO, SPC, PPAP, GD&T, DFSS, DVP&R, TQM, QFD, TPS, Gauges, FMEA, APQP, 8D, problem solving with verification, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
OEM quality engineering and launch experience to Chrysler, Ford, or GM - Commercial truck experience considered a plus.
Assemblies experience with multiple components, and working with large BOM (100+).
Experience establishing systems/processes to ensure traceability of product - FMEA background desired.
Experience with equipment validation desired.
Knowledge of welding/stamping and materials a plus.
Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in SAP.

Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures
Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.

Supervisory Competence:

Essential Accountabilities:
- Champion continuous improvement of all processes during and after launch.
- Communication of quality data with Divisional Management and Plant Management.
- Controlling and defining quality in all value stream processes (e.g., receiving, warehousing, production, shipping, change management, etc.).
- Controlling documentation.
- Defining and controlling inspection, measuring and test equipment.
- Defining product acceptance criteria.
- Defining product identification and traceability at all stages of production.
- Implementing statistical techniques.
- Maintaining and implementing all the plant level processes or procedures that affect the quality or safety of the products we produce.
- Personnel training and qualification in Quality systems.
- Quality System audit facilitator and compliance auditor (e.g., IATF16949, VDA 6.1, etc.).
- Main contact with customer regarding quality issues at the plant.
- Validating new processes.
