The growthof our group of experts in mineral resource estimation is essential inachieving our strategic objectives. Reporting to the Vice-President, Mining andMetals, you'll be responsible for designing business strategies that promoteBBA's growth in resource estimation expertise, for supporting our teams'professional development and for assisting with business development. You'llalso be expected to participate actively in various resource estimationprojects by serving as a qualified person (QP).

An overview of your mandates andresponsibilities

• Design the strategic and action plans to foster the growth and development of our resource estimation expertise.
• Increase internal visibility of the expertise by collaborating with different key people to increase cross-selling.
• Identify high-potential projects at the exploratory stage to build a project portfolio.
• Serve as a mentor in the professional development of our future QPs.
• Keep up to date with best practices in relation to changes or developments in mineral resource estimation methods and reporting regulations.
• Help prepare technical reports and studies (NI 43-101, preliminary engineering, pre-feasibility and feasibility).
• Serve as a QP on NI 43-101 related projects.
• Conduct quality audits on advanced exploration or development projects for all aspects of geology (drilling, sampling, analyzing, QA/QC and estimating mineral resources) and ensure important recommendations are implemented.

Job requirements at a glance

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering
• Member of a professional order (of geologists or engineers)
• At least 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years of experience in resource estimation
• Solid practical experience in mineral resource estimation for many types of deposits and as a QP
• Experience in project budgeting and scheduling
• Ability to mentor, train and share experiences with team members
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written (English and French).
