Job Description
Generation of technical requirements for mechanical system from market requirements.
Design mechanical hardware and opto-mechanics for imaging systems.
Fabricate and assemble mechanical hardware using in-house capabilities and external
vendors and CMOs.
As part of design and documentation, generate 3D CAD drawings and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
Work with QA to ensure high-quality mechanical subsystems for prototypes and products.
Understand how to prioritize tasks based on a product roadmap and drive execution.
Anticipated travel:
Qualifications
BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
4 - 6+ years of relevant experience.
Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills to clearly articulate ideas, problems, and solutions.
Good technical communication skills, written and verbal.
Proficiency in SolidWorks.
Good mechanical engineering fundamentals and experience in analysis of mechanical systems components.
Technical knowledge/understanding of optical imaging and instrumentation preferred.
US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to government contract requirements.
